Import tariff

On 16 July 2015, the Common Market Council of Mercosur (Consejo Mercado Común del Mercosur) issued Decision No. 29/15 temporarily setting the import tariff on peaches corresponding to tariff line 200870 to 35% until 31 December 2023. This decision led to the increase of the import tariff set for this product in Bolivia where previously it was set at 15%.

A similar import duty was imposed on Members State until December 31, 2014.

In the case of Paraguay, the country is allowed to implement its own import duty. As for Uruguay, the import duties allowed are those set on Resolution GMC 5/11 (14%). Finally in the case of Venezuela, for tariff line 2008.70.20, the country can maintain the country's import duty value.
