Public procurement localisation

In the New Growth Strategy of Japan (2010), the Japanese government announced that it would promote the use of Japanese wood instead of foreign wood. The target is to cover more than half of domestic demand for wood with domestic supply. According to the WTO's Trade Policy Review of Japan it "appears" that Japan favouring domestic wood producers in public procurement.
