State loan

On Septemeber 4, 2017, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development of Brazil (BNDES) approved a credit line of circa USD 53.3 million  (BRL 167.4 million) for the local company Linx Sistemas specialized in management software for retail. The money is said to be invested mainly in research and development, as well as in infrastructure, training and quality, marketing and marketing and social investments. With this credit, Linx aims to stay technologically updated and competitive in its software offering for retail, in addition to meeting new market demands.

The BNDES and Linx Sistemas share an intense collaborative relationship that started in 2008. Since then, the bank has provided the company with important financial support totalling the amount of circa USD 66.7 million to which the new credit line is to be added. In addition, since 2011, the BNDES (via BNDESPAR) holds 5.6% of the company's common shares.

Since July 2017, with the acquisition of the Latin American group Synthesis based in Argentina, the company is expanding internationally.
