Import tariff

On July 5, 2016, the Argentine Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Production issued Joint Resolutions 123/2016 - 313/2016 eliminating temporarily the import tariffs on certain machinery, equipment and goods not locally produced destined for new projects for the production of renewable energy until the end of 2017. These Resolutions are part of the Regime for the Promotion of Renewable Energies, launched by the Government of Argentina in 2007.

This state act allows investors in renewable energies and local producers to notify about any required updates related to the list of product affected by the Resolutions.

Update
On September 1, 2016, the Argentine Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Production issued Joint Resolution 1-E/2016 updating the list of products subject to the duty-free import duty established on July 5, 2016.
