In July 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of sodium dichromate from Russia, South Africa, Kazakhstan and Turkey. The investigation was terminated in June 2018 without the imposition of duties.

The antidumping investigation was initiated on 4 July 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 2841.30.00. The investigation follows the application lodged by Vishnu Chemicals Limited.
On 7 June 2018, the Indian authorities terminated the antidumping investigation on imports of sodium dichromate from Russia, South Africa, Kazakhstan and Turkey without the imposition of duties.
