In July 2011, the government of India initiated a new anti-dumping investigation. A sunset review was initiated in June 2017 on the antidumping duty imposed in April 2013. In June 2018, the definitive duty was terminated.

Anti-dumping

On 21 July 2011, the Indian authorities announced an initiation of anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of plain gypsum plaster boards originating in China, Indonesia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
 
On 19 March 2012, the Government published preliminary findings and imposed provisional anti-dumping duties on the subject product, to be levied from 7 June 2012.
 
On 12 April 2013, the Government imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on the subject product. The duties will be in force for a period of five years from the date of imposition of provisional duties.

On 5 June 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on the subject good from China, Indonesia, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. This follows the application lodged by Saint-Gobain India Private Limited.

On 7 June 2017, in connection with the above sunset review the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification extending the definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from China until and including 6 June 2018.

On 6 June 2018, the Indian authorities terminated the definitive duty imposed on imports of plain gypsum plaster boards originating in China, Indonesia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates following the conclusion of the sunset review.
