Anti-dumping

On 5 November 2010 the European Commission initiated anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of coumarin originating in China. The product under investigation falls under the product codes 2932 21 00.

On 8 July 2011 the European Commission announced the termination without duties of an anti-dumping investigation on imports of coumarin from China. The reason is that the only producer of coumarin in the EU has permanently closed its production facility in August 2010. Therefore according to the EC, imposing anti-dumping duties is not in the interest of the EU.
