Export ban

According to the state-owned Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram, the government of Egypt on 25 April 2017, suspended for an unspecified period of time, its fish exports. The prior,  according to official sources, was done with the scope of meeting the local demand for fish products while neutralising the recent price hikes in the local  fish market.
