In April 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of ceramic rollers from China. In May 2018, a definitive duty was imposed.

The antidumping investigation was initiated on 19 April 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code chapter 69. From the product description, the subject good would likely fall under HS code 6903 and/or 6914, however, no specific HS codes were declared. The investigation follows the application lodged by the Futura Ceramics (P) Ltd.
On 17 May 2018, the Indian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of ceramic rollers from China. The rate of duty is between USD 202.03 and 782.25 per tonne depending on the company. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
