ANNOUNCEMENT 17 May 2016

According to consistent press reports as well as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, on 17 May 2016, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) of Nigeria distributed 7.500 metric tonnes of rice to local poultry farmers across the country.

Production subsidy

According to consistent press reports as well as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, on 17 May 2016, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) of Nigeria announced its readiness to distribute 7.500 metric tonnes of rice to local poultry farmers across the country.

The stated reason behind this is the initiative of the Nigerian governmental authorities to assist poultry farmers in their challenges they are facing when it comes to the shortage of raw materials (such as maize) for production.
