Export quota

On August 30, 2016, the Mexican Secretariat of Economy announced the new, reduced export quota of sugar exported to the United States of America. The new value has been set at 870,688.94 MT whereas, in 2015, the quota set for the same period was 1,232,547 MT. This quota is applicable from October 1, 2016, to September 30, 2017.

Update
On March 31, 2017, the Mexican Secretariat of Economy issued a new Notice announcing the incrementation of the quota of sugar allowed to be export to the United States of America (please, see related state acts).
