Export quota

On 9 June 2011, the Indian Ministry of Commerce & Industry published Notification No. 57 (RE-2010)/2009-14, thereby increasing the cap on cotton exports for the 2010-11 season from 5.5 million bales to 6.5 million bales.
 
The cap was lifted on 2 August 2011 before the end of the season i.e. 30 September 2011 (see related measure).
