On 10 July 2014, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova (according to Law No. 124) exempted from VAT selected imports of medical devices made by a state-owned institute.

Internal taxation of imports

The import VAT-exempted goods in question are not specified with their HS codes but with their denominations as follows:

  • InfaWarmer i AC230V with standard accessories
  • Resuscitation kit type E
  • Breathing circuits (5 pieces/pack)
  • Mask for newborns (20 pieces/pack)
  • Mask premature (20 pieces/pack)
  • Air compressor, model "Ventifact"
  • Vacuum extractor VP-450 with standard accessories
  • Portable color Doppler M7, comprising:

These goods are imported by the state Institute for Health Protection of Mother and Child.

Law No. 124 enters into force on 08 August 2014.
