On July 22nd, 2011, the Government of Argentina passed a modification on reference prices on the importation of imports of toys, arcade, table or parlor games and other entertainment articles (classified under MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature: 9503.00.10, 9503.00.21, 9503.00.22, 9503.00.31, 9503.00.39, 9503.00.60, 9503.00.80, 9503.00.91, 9503.00.97, 9503.00.98, 9503.00.99, 9504.40.00, 9504.90.90, 9505.10.00, 9505.90.00) originating in various countries.
 
Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimported goods in June 2005 (inSpanish:valorescriteriodecarácterpreventivo).Thestatedpurpose is tostrengthencustomscontrolandpreventunder-invoicing.
