On 11 January 2011 Israel started a safeguard investigation concerning imports of glass wool and rock wool (HS 6806.10.00; 7019.39.19).
On 4 January 2012, the Israeli government announced that safeguards measures are envisaged for the subject product, and that they are to be applied for duration of 2 years. The government has not yet specified when exactly the duties will be imposed.
On 15 September 2013, the Israeli authorities terminated the above investigation without the imposition of duties.
