On 3 March 2011, the European Commission implemented definitive countervailing duties on imports of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film (HS 3920.62.19; 3920.62.90) from India. The measures came into force on 9 March 2011.
On 18 August 2011, a review established that duties shall no longer be applicable to MITZ polyfilms.
On 6 November 2012, the EC decided to suspend thecountervailing duties after it reached the regular expiry after 5 years. (initiated on 30 October 2007, EU 1292/2007). This suspension also affects products from Brazil as well as Israel.
