On April 18, 2011, the Government of Argentina adopted reference prices applicable to the importation of certain types of sweaters and vests from China, Uruguay and other Asian and Latin American countries.
The products subject to this measure are classified under the following tariff lines of MERCOSUR's Harmonized System: 6110.11.00, 6110.20.00 and 6110.30.00.
These reference prices entered into force on 20 April 2011 and were supended on 18 November 2013 by General Resolution 3546 (see "Related Measures").
Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimported goods inJune2005(inSpanish:valorescriteriodecarácterpreventivo).Thestatedpurpose is tostrengthencustomscontrolandpreventunder-invoicing.
