Import tariff

By the Commission of Customs Union Decree # 591 from 2 March 2011 the following modifications with regard to the imports of diamonds in the Customs Code were introduced. Thus, two tariff lines in the section "Dust and powder of natural or synthetic precious or semi- precious stones" - HS 7105100001 with 5 percent tariff (artificial diamonds) and HS 7105100009 (other diamonds)with 20 percent tariff were united into one tariff line HS 7105100000 (diamonds) with 10 percent import tariff
According to the UN Comtrade database, in 2010, that is the year prior to the measure, no country exported goods classified under HS code 7105.10 to Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan with a trade value over the GTA threshold of USD 1 million. Hence no affected trading partners could be enumerated. For information, in 2010, the sole exporter of goods classified under HS code 7105.10 was the United States of America (USD 30,036 to Kazakhstan).
