Import tariff

The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa recommended a decrease in the general rate of duty on glass ampoules (HS 7010.10) from 10% ad valorem to free of duty.

The decision was based on the fact that there are no manufacturers of glass ampoules in SACU and the current general rate of duty has an unnecessary cost raising impact on a variety of industries.
