On March 3, 2011, the Government of Argentina introduced reference prices applicable to the importation of certain electrical machines and apparatus from China and other Asian countries. The product subject to this measure is classified under the following tariff line of MERCOSUR's Harmonized System: 8543.70.99.
These reference prices entered into force on March 7, 2011.
Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimported goods inJune2005(inSpanish:valorescriteriodecarácterpreventivo).Thestatedpurpose is tostrengthencustomscontrolandpreventunder-invoicing.
