Anti-dumping

On March 1,2013, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People's Republic of China issued the Notice No.9 (2013), announcing the determination of mid-term AD duty review on Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber from South Korea.
On March 5, 2012, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People's Republic of China released the Notice NO. 8 (2012), announcing the initiation of mid-term review of AD duty on Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber (listed under 90011000 in the import tariffs of the Chinese Customs) imported from two Korean companies. This follows on 24 June 2011, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Company and other 6 companies jointly submitting an application to the MOFCOM, holding that the AD rates on two Korean companies (LS Cable & System Ltd and TAIHAN FiberopticsCo.,LTD) are much lower than their dumping rate in China, and thus applied for the initiation of the mid-term review on AD rates levied on these two Korean companies.
On December 31, 2010, the MOFCOM released the Notice NO. 92 (2010), announcing to levy AD duty on Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber from Japan and Republic of Korea. On April 29, 2011, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Company and other 6 companies jointly submitted an application to the MOFCOM, holding that the AD rates on two Korean companies (LS Cable & System Ltd and OPTOMAGIC) are much lower than their dumping rate in China, and thus applied for initiation the mid-term review on AD rates levied on these two Korean companies.

On 31 December 2010, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) released the Notice NO.92(2010) announcing the final determination on levying anti-dumping duty on Methanol (listed under 90011000 in the import tariffs of the Chinese Customs) originating from Japan and Republic of Korea.
On 31 December 2010, in accordance with the Notice NO.92(2010) which announces the final determination on levying anti-dumping duty on methanol originating from Japan and Republic of Korea, the MOFCOM holding that termination of the anti-dumping duty on Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber from Japan and Republic of Korea may be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of the dumping injury to Chinese domestic industry, and determined the continuation imposition the anti-dumping duty on Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber from Japan and Republic of Korea in accordance with Notice No.96(2004), Notice NO.19(2008) and Notice NO. 36 (2009) for another five years. This measure came into effect on 1 January 2011.
On 1 January 2005, the MOFCOM released the Notice No.96(2004) announcing to levy anti-dumping duty on Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber from the US, Japan and Republic of Korea, the term is five years. During this anti-dumping duty period, the MOFCOM has adjusted this anti-dumping duty in accordance with Notice NO. 19 (2008) and Notice NO. 36 (2009).
In accordance with Chinese Regulations on Anti-dumping, on 31 December 2009, the MOFCOM released the Notice NO. 107(2009), announcing to initiate the final review investigation on anti-dumping duty on Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber from Japan and Republic of Korea.
On 1 January 2016, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China initiated a sunset review on imports of above-standing products from Japan and the Republic of Korea (Announcement No. 70 of 2015). The complaint was lodged on 30 September 2015 by the following companies: Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company, Futong Group Company Limited, Fiberhome Fujikura Optic Technology Co., Ltd., Hengtong Optic-Electric Co., Ltd., Zhongtian Technology Optical Fiber Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Fasten Photonics Co., Ltd., Chengdu Sei Optical Fiber Co., Ltd., and Tongding Interconnection Information Co., Ltd.
