Import tariff

On February 17, 2011, the Government of Argentina adopted reference prices applicable to the importation of hats and other headgear from China, Vietnam, and other Asian countries. The product subject to this measure is classified under the following tariff line of MERCOSUR's Harmonized System: 6505.90.00.

 

These reference prices entered into force on February 21, 2011.

 

Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimportedgoodsinJune2005(inSpanish:valorescriteriodecarácterpreventivo).Thestatedpurpose istostrengthencustomscontrolandpreventunder-invoicing.
