Export tax

By the Russian Government Decree # 1071 from 29 December 2009 the export taxes on timber (HS 4403) were introduced at the level 25 percent but not less than 15 Euros per 1 m3. The decree also contained the information that from 1 January 2011 the export taxes were to increase by 80 Euros and not less than 50 Euros per m3. However, by the Russian Government Decree # 1190 from 29 December 2010 the Customs Union extended the previous year export tariff rates and did not increase the rates as it was planned in 2009. The new export taxes are in force from 1 January 2011.
