Import tariff quota

On December 27th 2010, the Brazilian government announced a temporary tariff reduction on the ad-valorem import duty from 12% to 2% for the product code 3206.11.19 and from 16% to 2% for the product codes 8535.21.00 and 8547.10.00, classified under the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).
 
The tariff reductions are limited to the following quotas:
- item 3206.11.19 - limited to a quota of 95,000 tons;
- item 8535.21.00 - limited to a quota of 64 units;
- item 8547.10.00 - limited to a quota of 54 units.
