Import tariff

On December 08th 2010, the Brazilian government announced a tariff reduction on the ad-valorem import duty from 12% to 0% for the tariff line 8529.90.20 classified under the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).

Update
On 25 October 2018, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council has adopted Resolution 82 revoking 124 resolutions including this one.

Import tariff

The Brazilian government also announced on December 8, 2010, the exclusion of the product code 8409.99.90 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) from the list of exceptions to the Common External Tariff. The product is now back to its original rate of 16%.
