Import tariff

Effective 1 October 2010, the government of Liberia has placed a moratorium under Executive Order No. 27 on import tariffs on buses and transport services. Import tariffs on 23, 22 and 10 seater buses used for commercial purposes in the country, on all small vehicles (sedans and station wagons used as taxis) and motor cycles have been suspended indefinitely.
 
However, companies qualifying for the import duty and service tax exemptions are required to register with the government as corporate entities.
