Anti-dumping

On August 16th, 2010, the Indian Directorate General of anti-dumping & allied duties, Ministry of Commerce, initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of cold rolled flat products ofstainless steel of 200 series (having a width of less than 600mm), including all austenitic grades having nickel content of less than 6%, from China, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7220.2010,7220.2021, 7220.2022, 7220.2029, 7220.2090, 7220.9010, 7220.9021, 7220.9022, 7220.9029 and 7220.9090.
This follows the application lodged by M/s Hisar Metal Industries Ltd., M/s Quality Foils (India) Pvt. Ltd. and M/s JSL Ltd., companies that account for more than 50% of the domestic production of the subject goods.
 
On July 27th, 2011, the Indian Directorate General of anti-dumping & allied duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, terminated the above-mentioned anti-dumping investigation without the imposition of any anti-dumping measure. Reason for this decision is that the petitioners requested the termination of the investigation.
