In April 2010, the government of India initiated a new anti-dumping investigation and a definitive duty was imposed in November 2011. In November 2016, the duty was terminated.

On April 12, 2010, the Indian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of hot rolled flat products of stainless steel from Chinese Taipei, the European Union, South Africa, the Republic of Korea and the United States of America.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7219.1100, 7219.1200, 7219.1300, 7219.1400, 7219.2100, 7219.2200, 7219.2300, 7219.2400, 7220.1100 and 7220.1200.
On October 11, 2011, the Indian authorities issued their final findings and recommended the imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty. This definitive duty was imposed on November 25, 2011 (Notification No. 104/2011-Customs, 25.11.2011). The amount of the duty imposed on imports from Chinese Taipei is USD 683.95 per metric ton, at the exception of the company Yieh United Steel Corporation whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 432.44 per metric ton. The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating in the European Union is USD 649.55 per metric ton, at the exception of the companies Acerinox SA (Spain) and Outokumpu Stainless OY (Finland) whose exports are not subject to the payment of an anti-dumping duty. The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating in South Africa ranges from USD 160.14 to USD 1130.28 per metric ton. The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating from the United States of America is USD 165.32 per metric ton. No anti-dumping duty was imposed on imports originating in the Republic of Korea. This definitive duty is effective for a period of five years.
On 24 November 2016, the definitive duty was terminated as it was set to expire.
