Import tariff

By decision 27/2009, the Mercosur members have raised import tariffs on travel goods, handbags, wallets, and jewelry cases made of leather.
 
The new tariff of 35 percent was imposed on 31 January 2010, at the latest.
 
Paraguay and Uruguay have waived the stated measure. However, Uruguay adopted the measure on 9 March 2010.
 
Brazil incorporated the tariffs on 1 January 2010.
