Anti-dumping

On December 24, 2009 the government of Egypt initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of plastic containers (boxes) from PET originating from Italy.

On June 22, 2011 a definitive duty ranging from 40 to 45 percent was imposed.

On 21 June 2016, the Egyptian authorities terminated the definitive duty on the above goods from Italy. The measure was terminated on the grounds that application had been submitted to continue the imposition of duties after its expiry date.
