In a Federal Register notice published on October 20, 2016 (Vol. 81, No. 203) the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced that, in response to Buy America waiver requests from the Pace Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority, it had waived its Buy America requirements for the purchase of minivans and vans manufactured in Canada. The FTA did not, however, waive its requirement for final assembly of the vehicles in the United States.
