Public procurement localisation

In a December 16, 2010 letter, the Federal Railroad Administration informed the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority that it had granted a request for the waiver of Buy America requirements for the purchase of track nuts. The letter did not indicate in what country these railroad components were to be procured, but the principal foreign suppliers of this item are China, Chinese Taipei, and Germany.
