Import tariff

On 23 May 2016, the government of Argentina introduced an updated list of criterion values for imports of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel. The denoted updates of import criterion values specifically refer to the following HS Codes: 

  • 7207.11.10
  • 7207.11.90
  • 7207.12.00
  • 7207.19.00
  • 7207.20.00

The updated criterion values for imports correspond to a FOB Value of USD 0.30 per kg. The previous import criterion values corresponded to FOB value of USD 0.50 per kg.
 
The updated list of criterion values for imports introduced in 2016 refer to the following countries: Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. 

Following the GTA de minimis rule, only trading partners with imports to Argentina exceeding USD 1 million are listed as affected.

This general Resolution entered into force on 30 May 2016.
