Anti-dumping

On 1 April 2010, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain stainless steel bars from India (Notice No 2010/C 87 A/01). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 7222.20.21, 7222.20.29, 7222.20.31, 7222.20.39, 7222.20.81 and 7222.20.89. The complaint was lodged on 15 February 2010 by the European Federation of Iron and Steel Industries (Eurofer) on behalf of domestic producers representing more than 25% of the EU production of the subject good. On the same day an anti-subsidy investigation was initiated on imports of the same product, see related measure.

On 11 March 2011, the European Commission terminated the above investigation without the imposition of anti-dumping duties (Notice No. 2011/154/EU). This follows Eurofer formally withdrawing its complaint regarding this anti-dumping investigation on 23 November 2010.
