Public procurement localisation

A decree of 15 September 2016 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijanforbids the purchase of foreign goods, services and works by executive and state-financed organisations and institutions until 1 January 2018. This state initiative enters into force on 16 September 2016.

From the general provisions introduced by this presidential decree are excluded public procurement orders of imported goods that involve urgent supplies. In this case, foreign goods can be purchased after an authorisation (a consent), obtained from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
