Anti-dumping

On April 21, 2010, the Government of Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation on denim from China.
 
This investigation was requested by Manufacturas Kaltex, S.A. de C.V., Global Denim, S.A. de C.V. y Swift Denim Hidalgo S. de R.L. de C.V. These three Mexican enterprises account for 44% of Mexico's production of this type of denim.
 
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following items of Mexico's Harmonized System: 5209.42.01, 5209.42.99, 5211.42.01 and 5211.42.99.
 
 
On 28 December 2010, the investigation was prolonged for a further 6 months.
 
On 21 October 2011, the investigation was terminated without imposing definitive duties.
