In August 2016, the government of Argentina initiated a new anti-dumping investigation. The investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties in February 2018.

On 19 August 2016, the Argentinian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain three-phase liquid dielectric transformers from India (Resolution 221/2016). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8504.23.00. This follows the application lodged by the Argentinian Chamber of Industrial Members for Projects and Engineering of Capital Goods (Cámara de Industriales de Proyectos e Ingeniería de Bienes de Capital de la República Argentina - CIPIBIC).
On 11 April 2017, the Argentinian authorities issues Resolution 286-E / 2017 deciding to continue the above investigation without the imposition of provisional duties.
On 16 February 2018, the Argentinian authorities terminated the above investigation on imports of the subject good from India without the imposition of dumping duties.
