Import tariff

 
On December 15th, 2009, the Brazilian government, based on the decision Dec. CMC 27/09 of theCommon Market Council of Mercosur, announced tariff increases on the ad-valorem import duty to 35% for some articles of leather classified under the codes 4202.22.10, 4202.22.20 and 4202.92.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM). The tariff increased to 35%.
 
The average bound tariff of the products concerned is already 35%.
 
Mercosur members Paraguay and Uruguay waived the stated measure.
