In May 2016, the government of Australia initiated a new anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation. The investigations were terminated without the imposition of definitive duties in February 2017.

On 4 July 2016, the Commissioner of the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain steel shelving units from China (Anti-dumping Notice No. 2016/65). The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code subheadings: 9403.10.00 and 9403.20.00. The complaint was lodged on 5 May 2016 by Summit Select Pty Ltd. On the same day the Commissioner of the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission also initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of the above product from China, see related intervention.
On 23 February 2017, the Commissioner of the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission terminated the above investigation without the imposition of anti-dumping duties.
