On 14 June 2015, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution No. 46 introducing a tariff-rate quota on nickel falling under the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM): 7502.10.10. The import duty is reduced from 6% to 2% with a quota of 3,600 tonne. The measure entered into force on 15 June 2016 and for a period of 180 days.
