In February 2016, the government of Pakistan initiated a new antidumping investigation. An antidumping duty was imposed from February 2017.

Anti-dumping

On 19 February 2016, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of wall and floor tiles from China (Notice ADC No. 45/2016/NTC/Tiles). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 6907.10.00, 6907.90.00, 6908.10.00, 6908.90.10 and 6908.90.90. This investigation follows the application lodged on 23 December 2015 by Shabbir Tiles & Ceramics Limited.
 
On 18 February 2017, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject good from China. The rate of duty is between 5.21% and 59.18% depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of four months.

On 11 October 2017, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission imposed a definitive duty on imports of the subject good from China. The rate of duty is between 9.35% and 36.35% depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of five years starting from 18 February 2017.
