Import tariff

Effective 2 August 2013, Sri Lanka increased the Special Commodity Levy on sugar imports from Rs. 20 per kg. to Rs. 27 per kg. The levy was later increased in November 2013.
 
The Special Commodity Levy is a composite duty on the product and no other tax, duty, cess etc. is applicable on the said product while the levy is valid.
