State loan

On 4 September 2015, the European Investment Bank announced in a press release that it had provided a 280 million GBP loan for the research and development of Rolls-Royce aero engines.
The engines are developed for a larger version of the recently released Airbus A350 XWB-1000, which is planned to become operational in 2017.
A state measure in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects the extent of discrimination against foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support proposed here is discriminatory.
