Anti-dumping

On 1 February 2016, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain castings for wind operated electricity generators including windmills originating in or exported from China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8503. This investigation follows the application lodged by Larsen & Toubro Limited.

On 30 August 2017, the Indian Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue imposed a definitive antidumping duty on the subject good from China. The rate of duty is between 6.27% and 35.92% of the landed value depending on the company. The goods subject to definitive antidumping duties are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 8483.40.00, 8503.00.10 and 8503.00.90. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
