Anti-dumping

On 28 December 2015, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of axle for trailers originating in or exported from China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 8716.90.10. This investigation follows the application lodged by York Transport Equipment (India) Pvt. Ltd., on behalf of the domestic industry.
 
On 29 November 2016, the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on the subject good from China. The rate of duty is USD 0.14 and 0.46 per kilogram depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of five year from the date of publication of the Customs Notification.
