FDI: Entry and ownership rule

 On 5 November 2015, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced Order No.2/2015 easing the foreign investment restrictions in the country.
Inter alia, numerous conditions were scrapped on the establishment of the joint-stock companies with foreign investment. Similar restrictions were eliminated in the Interim Provisions on Investment in China by Foreign-invested Enterprises.
Also, enterprises with foreign investment will no longer require a photocopy of the approval certificate when applying for an automated import license.
The order came into force on the day of its announcement.
