Export tax

 On 28 November 2011, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry reduced the Minimum Export Price (MEP) on all onions except Bangalore rose and Krishnapuram onions from USD 350 per metric ton to USD 250 per metric ton and on Bangalore rose and Krishnapuram onions from USD 400 to USD 300 per metric ton.

The MEP was reduced again on 11 January 2012 (see related measure).
