On 9 September 2015, the Italian Eximbank SACE announced in a press release that it shall guarantee an export credit worth 25 million EUR for the construction of a modern farm in Kenya.

The farm shall be self-sufficient by using solar and biomass power and will be constructed with the help of 11 Italian SMEs.

No affected trading partners have been selected, as Kenya did not bilaterally import more than 1 million USD worth of products in any of the selected tariff lines in 2014.
