In June 2015, the government of Argentina announced a change in import duties.

On 29 June 2015, the government of Argentina for the first time introduced a list of criterion values for imports of certain valves and similar appliances (NCM 8481.80.97), from specific origins. The newly (for the first time introduced) import criterion values range from a FOB value of 13.25 per kg to a FOB value USD 24.00 per kg.
The countries for which these specific import criterion values refer to are: China, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Viet Nam, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia and Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Germany. Nevertheless, the only countries with which Argentina had trades in 2014 of over USD 1,000,000were: China, Japan, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Netherlands, Viten Nam, Thailand, Italy and Spain.
