Public procurement preference margin

With the goals of having all government projects covered by the rules in the Procurement law and stricter supervision of procurement of projects financed under the stimulus package, the Chinese government has expanded the goods listed in the government procurement catslogue. This involved a reduction in the scope of the exceptions to the "buy Chinese" provisions that were originally outlined in Decrees 2007-119 and 2007-120. These new rules were issued by the State Council on 4 June 2009.
